Consuelo Capri was initially seconded to the European Central Bank in 1999 as former staff of Banca d’Italia’s Printing Works. She joined the ʽEuro 2002 Information Campaign’ Project team in charge of implementing the first ʽbig bang’ changeover, where she was part of the PR & Press and Research unit.

Since 2005 Consuelo has been in the front line of the rollout of changeover campaigns in the seven member states that joined the euro area following the EU enlargement. She currently leads the Project team in charge of implementing public information campaigns to inform EU citizens about the new series of euro banknotes via a multi-channel outreach strategy.

Consuelo holds a bachelor and a Master of Science degree in Corporate Communication from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University.
