Georgy Kornilov graduated from Moscow University with a PhD in 1996 and has extensive experience in various industries and markets.

After over four years in the banknote sector, as a writer and editor of Banknotes of the World, Georgy joined Goznak as Head of International Marketing in 2006. In 2010, he became director of its Research and Development Institute, which concentrates on developing technologies and features for the security printing industry and coin production, as well as equipment for banknote verification and authentication.

Georgy is the author of numerous articles and reviews on the evolution of the security printing industry, and more specifically, banknote production.

New banknotes of new denominations were issued by the Bank of Russia in late 2017. This presentation will throw light on their design and security features.
