Ralph Rotzler studied Economics in Heidelberg, Germany and joined the Deutsche Bundesbank, formerly Land Central Bank in Rhineland-Palatinate, in 1997.
Ralph started his career as a Junior Expert in the organisational division of the Deutsche Bundesbank’s regional office in Mainz, but transferred to the headquarters in Frankfurt-am-Main in 2002 where he ran the Infrastructure and Automation of Cash Processing section until 2005, supervising the test centre for cash processing in Munich.
In 2008, Ralph was appointed Private Secretary of a member of the Executive Board. Two years later, he became Head of Cash Payments and Cash Processing Machines, and then Head of Branch Operations and Cash Processing division in 2020.
Ralph has been heading the Deutsche Bundesbank’s Cash Payments and Cash Strategy Division since 2021.
